We are 100% estate grown here at Cave B, and these vines surrounding our Quincy tasting room were 35 (XXXV) years old when we picked them for the 2020 harvest. As a grape vine ages it stops producing as many grapes (quantity), but the grapes they do produce are of exceptional quality, as the grape vine has learned the land, soil, heat on our property as it has aged. Many wineries will pull up old vines when the quantity goes down but here at Cave B we wanted you to be able to try wines from old vines to learn, appreciate and experience the difference.
