2023 Petit Verdot

Aroma: After many years of waiting for our new vineyard of Petit Verdot to come into production the first harvest from it does not disappoint!!! Dark fruit notes of ripe plums,dried cherries, huckleberry jam and a hint of red licorice mingle with slight herbaceous notes, that are typical of Petit Verdot. The earthy aromatic is one of toasted walnut sperfectly complimenting the dark fruit.

 

Taste: The flavors of our 2023 Petit Verdot liveup to the anticipation of us releasing another Petit Verdot. Our last vintage of Petit Verdotwas in 2017 and I can say that the flavors found in this vintage are reminiscent of previous Cave B Petit Verdot’s. Everything from the nose comes across on the palate with the toasted walnuts complimenting the fruit on the finish.

 

Food Pairing: Braised beef with pearl onions served over rustic mashed potatoes will make a wonderful pairing with this wine.
